MEET THE ARTIST

Andreas Jonak


The sculptor Andreas Jonak was born in Magdeburg in 1989. He began his studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2008, became a master student of Professor Anthony Cragg in 2013, and received his Academy Certificate in 2013.

His works move between the organic world and industrial formal language. Through deliberate openings and cracks, the sculptor allows the imagination to explore the inner workings of his works without revealing them entirely.

Der Bildhauer Andreas Jonak wurde 1989 in Magdeburg geboren. 2008 hat er sein Studium an der Kunst Akademie Düsseldorf begonnen, war 2013 Meisterschüler bei Professor Anthony Cragg und erhielt 2013 den Akademiebrief.
Seine Arbeiten bewegen sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen organischer Welt und industrieller Formensprache. Durch gezielte Öffnungen und Risse gibt der Bildhauer der Vorstellungskraft Raum, das Innenleben seiner Werke zu erkunden, ohne es in Gänze Preis zu geben.

Stephan Marienfeld


Stephan Marienfeld, born in 1966, lives and works in Hattingen/Ruhr. The trained stone sculptor was a long-time assistant to Tony Cragg. In recent years, Stephan Marienfeld has achieved an outstanding position nationally and internationally among the artists and sculptors of his generation.
